A New Jersey mother is pushing for a new law following the death of her 6-year-old special needs daughter, which led to the arrest of a bus monitor.
Fajr A. Williams was apparently strapped incorrectly when her bus went over a series of bumps on Monday, July 17, as Daily Voice previously reported citing the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.

A New Jersey man surrendered to Bensalem police on Friday after he was indicted for causing his brother-in-law's death during a 2022 fistfight, authorities say.
Antwan McKoy, 37, of Maple Shade, NJ, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment, said Bensalem police in a release.
According to investigators, McKoy and his wife were visiting her mother at the Bucks Meadow Apartments on June 19 of last year. Michael Whispell, McKoy's brother-in-law, was staying at the apartment at the time.

Authorities have charged two people and identified the innocent victim killed by car thieves during a wild police pursuit in Old Bridge on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Samuel Villar, 19, of Somerset, was using the vehicle stolen last month to burglarize cars in Marlboro when police began to pursue the car around 2:15 a.m. up Route 9, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Old Bridge Acting Police Chief Donald F. Fritz, Jr. said.
