The new diner is replacing the 25-year-old StarView Diner which closed on Wednesday, Jan. 3 along White Horse Pike in Somerdale, Camden County. StarView owner Stefanos Kitrinos is retiring, he said in a handwritten note announcing the closing date to would-be customers on the restaurant's front door. These NJ Towns Got The Most Rain, Snow In Weekend Storm The National Weather Service has released rainfall totals from the weekend storm. Between Sunday morning, Dec. 10 and Monday morning, Dec. 11, the area that got the most amount of rain was Deerfield with 4.45 inches, then Flemington/Hopewell, with 4.29 inches. Franklin Lakes saw 4.09 inches, the NWS says. Flanders only got .13 inches, and Florham Park only had .38 inches of rain. High Point got 5.1 inches of snow, according to the NWS, the most across the state, while Wantage saw 5 inches and Hardyston saw .4 inches. Areas affected include Gateway National Park at Sandy Hook and the shoreline at Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, Deal, Allenhurst and Asbury Park. NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt.  No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train.  New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

A cause of death was not listed, however, her obituary on the Lawson Funeral Home website notes that Kayla "fought a good fight." Authorities ID Woman Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train Authorities have identified the person struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Friday, Oct. 13. Morgan Wilcock, 29, of Aberdeen, was hit at 8:05 a.m. near the crossing at Cliffwood Avenue, northwest of the Aberdeen-Matawan train station, NJ Transit said. The train that hit Wilcock left Bay Head at 6:53 a.m. and was due at New York Penn Station at 9:05 a.m. Service was suspended between South Amboy and Long Branch until 9:50 a.m. There were 200 people onboard.
