21-Year-Old Woman Killed In Millville Hit-And-Run, Police Searching For Driver: Prosecutors
Police were looking for a woman and a car after a deadly late-night hit-and-run crash in Millville, authorities said. The body of Caroline Bump of Millville was discovered on the side of Glenside Road at around 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release. The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said neighborhood surveillance video showed Bump was struck at around 11:11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. No state troopers will face criminal charges after a Millville man died while in police custody, authorities said. A state grand jury voted to not file any charges related to the death of 30-year-old Daniel King, the state Office of the Attorney General said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 1.
