A 59-year-old Lakewood man has been charged with killing his live-in girlfriend before fleeing to Maryland, authorities said. John Filistovich was charged on Thursday, June 1 with murder in connection with the beating and suffocation of Betty Perry, 60, of Lakewood, they said. The risk posed by deer in densely populated areas this particular time of year was tragically illustrated when one had to be put down in Glen Rock after being struck by a car. An underage girl who'd been reported missing was rescued from a trio of South Jersey human traffickers who were prostituting her, authorities said.
