Teacher Charged With Endangerment, Sexual Contact With Students In Atlantic County
A technology school teacher from Atlantic County has been charged in connection with inappropriate relationships with students, authorities said. Peter Thompson, 51, of Galloway, is a former teacher at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT), according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Disturbing details have been revealed in the arrest of an Atlantic City high school teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a former student. Joseph A. Scalfaro, 47, of Absecon, allegedly sent the 17-year-old girl coded messages, kissed her in his classroom, NJ Advance Media reports citing court papers. Suspects Stole $3.6M From Victim In ID Theft Scam: Police
A pair of Egg Harbor Township residents have been charged with defrauding a victim out of more than $3.6 million in ID theft transactions. Following a year-long investigation into fraud, theft by deception, bad checks, and conspiracy to commit these crimes, Wei Song and Botao Liu were arrested by the Bensalem Township Police Department, in Pennsylvania, Galloway police said. A 45-year-old man from Galloway has been arrested for threatening to kill public works employees in Pleasantville, authorities said. Brain Scherer was charged on Tuesday, Aug. 30 with making terroristic threats and bias intimidation. The Atlantic Service Area on the Garden State Parkway in Galloway has been renamed in honor of Frank Sinatra, a native of Hoboken, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. The name change became official on Thursday, April 21 when “Frank Sinatra Service Area” signs were installed on the Parkway. Gov. A 37-year-old man wanted on a warrant was arrested on the Jersey Shore on multiple drug charges involving methamphetamine and heroin, authorities said.
