Armed Man Arrested After Foot Chase In Atlantic City: Police
An armed man was arrested by Atlantic City police after a foot chase, authorities said. On Sunday, July 2, at 9:30 p.m., Detective Christopher Dodson received information regarding a man in the beach block of California Avenue that was in possession of a handgun. Dodson, along with Detectives Aaron Jones and Eric Evans, and Officer Brandon Bower, located Quadry Wise, police said. As detectives approached to investigate, Wise began to run, police said. A vandal who was chased down by Port Authority police at the George Washington Bridge bus station was carrying a loaded gun, authorities said. Justice D. Velez, 20, of the Bronx was vandalizing a card payment machine when he saw the officers coming and took off, said Lenis Valens, a Port Authority spokeswoman. Guns Recovered, Man Arrested After Atlantic City Foot Chase
A 26-year-old man from Cumberland County was arrested with two handguns in Atlantic City, authorities said. At 3:55 a.m. on Monday, July 18, Atlantic City Police Officers William Harned and Adrianna Petinga were on assignment in the 3000 block of the boardwalk assisting with a large crowd when they observed a man drop what the officers believed to be a handgun.
