Ex-Teacher, 76, Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Student In Mercer County Decades Ago
A 76-year-old former Mercer County high school teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting a student in the 1990s, authorities said. Joseph DePuglio, of Ewing, had a sexual relationship with the girl when he taught at Steinert High School in Hamilton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said. The victim, now an adult, reported the allegations to Ewing police at the end of 2022, Onofri said. DePuglio was arrested on Monday, March 27 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Both Drivers Killed In Head-On Bucks County Crash
A man and a woman are dead following a two-car crash in Bucks County Sunday afternoon, state police have announced. It happened on I-295 in Middletown Township at around 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 26, troopers said. Investigators believe the driver of a Ford Taurus was traveling west in the eastbound lane, going the wrong way. A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Trenton last fall, and a man who was with him at the time was charged on a weapons offense, authorities said. Killed in the shooting was Chron Jenks, 34, of Ewing, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. A 54-year-old man being held on a burglary charge was being sought after he escaped from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, authorities said. Roger Brown left the hospital around 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, Ewing police said. Police dispatch was notified by NJ Human Services Police about 25 minutes later. Wawa Shootout: Police Release Details In Terrifying Mercer County Incident
Police have release some details in a shootout that occurred inside of a Mercer County Wawa store early Sunday, Jan. 15. An argument broke out between patrons at the Silvia Street store in Ewing around 3:25 a.m., at which point workers asked them to leave, police said. One person stayed inside of the store and shot at someone who had left but was coming back inside, police said. The person re-entering returned fire, however, no one was struck. Man Shot Near Ewing Waste Management Plant, Police Say
A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot near a waste management plant in Ewing early on Monday, Sept. 26, authorities said. Officers responding to a report of a shooting near 432 Stokes Ave. found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg just after 6:05 a.m., Ewing Police said in a press release.
