Winner: Powerball Lottery Player Takes Home $50K
One New Jersey Lottery ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn on Wednesday, June 14.
The Powerball prize is worth $50,000, state Lottery officials said.
The winning ticket was sold at Quick Plus Mini Mart, 744 East Commerce St., Bridgeton in Cumberland County.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, June 14, drawing were: 03, 20, 36, 42, and 64. The Red Power Ball number was 04. The Power Play was 2X.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $366 million for the next drawing to be held Saturday, June 17, at 10:59 pm.
Trio Arrested In Armed Robbery Of South Jersey Pharmacy: Police
Three suspects from Bridgeton have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a local pharmacy, authorities said.
Jamar Doyle, Gabriel Cisneros, and Mariah Vaughn were charged in the robbery that took place at Walgreens at 25 E. Broad Street on May 29, Bridgeton police said.
The arrests were made June 6 without incident, and all three were sent fo Cumberland County Jail.
According to police:
Doyle, 22, was charged with robbery, theft and weapons offenses.
Vaughn, 27, was charged with conspiracy.
And Cisneros, 23, was charged with robbery and conspiracy.
PA Man Tried To Lure Child From NJ Wawa With Candy: Prosecutor
Authorities have arrested a Pennsylvania man who allegedly tried abducting a 7-year-old boy at a South Jersey Wawa by luring him with candy.
Thomas Cannon, 79, of Camp Hill, was arrested in connection with the incident on Thursday, June 1, 2023, according to Cumberland County NJ Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
He was charged with one count of child endangerment, she said. The suspect is also alleged to have grabbed the child’s arm, she said.

South Jersey Man Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Child Under 13: Prosecutor
A 31-year-old Cumberland County man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under 13 years old, authorities said.
On Thursday, May 25, a jury returned guilty verdicts against Justin Kuhl of Millville, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
Specifically, Kuhl was found guilty of two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and two counts and second-degree child endangerment, she said.
The charges originated from several incidents that occurred between Jan. 1, 2019, and Sept. 11, 2020, in Millville, the prosecutor said.

A 29-year-old Cumberland County man has been sentenced to 40 years in New Jersey State Prison for a fatal shooting, authorities said.
Frank J. Baker, of Seabrook, was sentenced in connection with the murder of Jair Rennie, 22, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.
Baker apparently was jealous of his ex girlfriend’s new boyfriend, so shot him four times, prosecutors have said.
The fatal shooting occurred in Gouldtown, Fairfield Township on July 20, 2019.

Pedestrian Struck, Killed In South Jersey: Police
A pedestrian was struck and killed in Cumberland County, authorities said.
Michael Nelson Corona, 37, of Millville, was crossing the 7800 block of West Buckshutem Road at 9:07 p.m. on March 31 when he was hit by a Hyundai Tucson, Millville police said.
Corona was taken to Vineland Inspira Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
