Teen Bicyclist Airlifted After Being Struck By Pickup Driver, 66, In Mercer County: Cops A 66-year-old driver struck and seriously injured a 14-year-old bicyclist in a Mercer County town over the weekend, police said. The East Windsor driver was operating a 2013 Toyota Tacoma when he struck the bicyclist, who was crossing Twin Rivers Drive north around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, EWPD Lt. Thomas Meyer said. Police Detective Hospitalized After Rescuing Dog From Mercer County House Fire A police detective was hospitalized after rescuing a dog from a house fire in Mercer County, authorities said. Officers responding to 109 Browning Ave. in Ewing saw smoke billowing from the home around 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, the Ewing Police Department said. While the residents had safely escaped the home prior to officers’ arrival, the homeowner told police that a dog was still trapped inside. Det.
