Baltimore Man Gets Probation After Holding AC Hotel Housekeeper Captive: Prosecutor
Over the objections of prosecutors, a 66-year-old man from Baltimore, MD, escaped New Jersey State Prison time for holding an Atlantic City hotel housekeeper captive, authorities said.
Hosea R. Jackson, 66, was sentenced on Tuesday, Sept. 19, to probation for criminal restraint with the risk of serious bodily injury and criminal sexual contact, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
On July 14, an Atlantic County jury found Jackson guilty of both counts.

A 33-year-old Glassboro Township man faces 20 years in New Jersey State Prison for shooting another man after an argument in Camden, authorities said.
On Tuesday, May 16, Angel Torres pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Michael Giancola in 2021, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.
At 5:58 a.m., on Jan. 2, 2021, Torres encountered Giancola, 24, of Collingswood, on the 1800 block of South 6 Street in Camden City, MacAulay said.
