An Atlantic City man admitted to jumping into a woman's car at an intersection and trying to rob her, authorities said. Eugene Shirk, 33, pleaded guilty on Friday, Nov. 1 to second-degree attempted robbery, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Toms River police are looking for a man who attacked a convenience store employee in an attempted robbery, authorities said. Officers were called to the Speedway gas station on Route 37 East at around 3:28 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, the Toms River Police Department said in a news release. A man who tried to rob a Mercer County TD Bank drove off on a motorcycle and remains at large, police said. Officers responding to an armed robbery report at the 883 State Road location found that the suspect approached the teller counter and tried to jump over it twice just before 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, Princeton Police said. A 20-year-old Paterson man was arrested after he tried and failed to rob postal carriers in Bergen and Passaic counties at gunpoint on the same day, federal authorities said.
