A Lyndhurst police officer caught a trio of teens moments after they broke into a 120-year-old museum and stole the front page from a 2001 newspaper that featured coverage of 9/11, authorities said. Officer Michael Carrino found two young men and a young woman running from the Little Red Schoolhouse Museum on Riverside Avenue while responding to a burglar alarm shortly before 7:20 p.m. Sunday, March 31, Detective Lt. Woman, 26, Shot Dead In Atlantic City: Prosecutor
A 26-year-old woman was shot and killed in Atlantic City, authorities said. The victim was identified as Malikah McLaughlin of Atlantic City. On Sunday, Aug. 28, at 1:09 a.m., Atlantic City police responded to a 911 call in reference to a shooting on the unit block of South Bellevue Avenue. Officers found the gunshot victim. She was subsequently pronounced dead. This remains an active investigation. : Bogus 911 Calls Bring Tactical Responders To Same Bergen Home Twice
Officers in tactical gear converged on a Fair Lawn neighborhood shortly after 2:30 a.m. recently after a 911 caller who claimed to be 13 told them she'd been kidnapped and held there against her will. They ordered everyone out of the house with their hands up before discovering that they'd been pranked, a resident said.
