State Denies Beach Erosion Prevention Plan For Jersey Shore City A plan to protect beaches in one Cape May County city has been blocked by the state, officials said. The state Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) sent a letter to the City of North Wildwood denying an emergency request to build a beachfront bulkhead, the city announced on Thursday, Feb. 1. The proposal called for a 752-foot-long steel bulkhead from the middle of 12th and 13th avenues to 15th Avenue.  The proposed bulkhead would be 12 feet tall and capped with boardwalk-style decking. PA Man Tries To Strangle Another Driver During South Jersey Road Rage Incident: Police A 49-year-old man from Jamison, PA, tried to strangle a woman during a road rage incident in North Wildwood, authorities said. Christopher Krier was driving "in an aggressive manner" and tailgating the driver in front of him at about 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 when the driver rolled down her window and commented about children being in the area, North Wildwood police said on Facebook. Both drivers pulled over near New Jersey and 13th avenues and got out of their cars, police said.
