Mark Jeffrey Wieland, of Dennis Township was arrested on May 30, according to Cape May County Prosecutor, Jeffrey H. Sutherland and the New Jersey State Police.
This investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.) CyberTip that revealed an unidentified subject, subsequently identified as Wieland, who downloaded various images of child sexual abuse material, Sutherland said.
The investigation was concluded as a result of the execution of a court-authorized search warrant on Wieland’s residence, Sutherland said.
Multiple computers and cellphones were seized from the residence pending further analysis.
