A 42-year-old West New York man was sentenced to 18 years in jail on Friday, Aug. 2, after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at Newark Airport last year, authorities said.
In January 2023, Port Authority police responded to a parking garage next to Terminal A after a woman reported being sexually assaulted while she was walking to her car, Union County Assistant Prosecutor Caroline Lawlor, who prosecuted the case, said.

The rapper Sexyy Red was arrested at Newark Airport after a brawl broke out on the early morning of Saturday, June 8, authorities said.
At 1:20 a.m. officers responded to a fight in progress at Gate 82 in Terminal C in the airport, Port Authority police said. Two people were found to have lacerations to their head, police said.
