60 MPH Winds, Heavy Rain Will Batter NJ, PA: Outages, Flooding Possible
A powerful storm system is sweeping across New Jersey on Sunday, Feb. 16, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain, and the potential for flooding and power outages, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The strongest winds are expected to peak in the afternoon into the evening, with gusts between 50 and 60 mph hitting many areas across the state.

Hundreds Without Power In NJ, More Storms Possible Late In The Day
Thousands of New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning, Aug. 19 without power due to Sunday's storm.
And according to the National Weather Service, more stormy weather could be on the way for later in the day.
As of 6:40 a.m., JCP&L was reporting the most outages with the following areas without power: Clinton, 880; Branchville, 150; Hopatcong, 215; Long Branch/Asbury Park, 350; Lakewood, 265.
The National Weather Service said Monday would be cloudy, but will become partly sunny by midday.

Thousands of New Jersey residents remain without power following thunderstorms that swept through the region Wednesday, June 26.
As of Thursday morning, June 27, JCP&L was reporting 54,000 outages across North Jersey. The most widespread were reported in:

Tornadoes Possible, Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For All Of NJ, Parts Of PA
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania to close out Memorial Day.
The NWS said tornadoes, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 65 mph were possible through 9 p.m.

A fast-moving round of thunderstorm knocked power to thousands of New Jersey residents Thursday morning, May 23.
PSEG was reporting approximately 2,000 outages in Bergen County (1,156 in New Milford, 398 in Paramus); 2,341 in Essex County (983 in Caldwell, 448 in West Caldwell); 1,230 in Gloucester County (1,206 in Woodbury City).
