A GoFundMe page said Mary Rodriguez died just days after celebrating her 21st birthday. She was the mother of a two-year-old boy. Man Shot Multiple Times In Jersey City: Authorities A man was shot several times in Jersey City on the early morning of Sunday, July 21, authorities said. At 12:58 a.m., police responded to 260 Bright St. for a report of a man shot, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office, said. The victim, 31, was already transported to a nearby hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition with gunshot wounds to his  right clavicle, left buttock, and groin region, Wallace-Scalfione said.  The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

One Killed, One Wounded In Elizabeth Shooting, Prosecutor Says A 47-year-old man was fatally shot and a 51-year-old man was wounded in an Elizabeth shooting on Sunday, July 7, authorities said. In the early morning, police responded to the 400 block of Westminster Avenue and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said in a release. Irvington Man Shot In Maplewood, Police Say A 24-year-old Irvington man was shot in Maplewood on Friday, May 31, authorities said. At 11:30 p.m., officers responded to Jacoby Street near Brown Street on a report of shots fired an found a 24-year-old man lying in the street, suffering from gunshot wounds, Maplewood police said in a release.
