Irvington Man Charged In Newark Killing After Police Shootout: Prosecutor A 26-year-old Irvington man was arrested after he exchanged gunfire with police following a fatal shooing on Tuesday, Dec. 17, authorities said. Newark police were near 433 4th Ave. when they heard gunshots and rushed to the scene, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. During an arrest attempt, shots were exchanged between A-Jahada Amirah Bostwick and the officers, authorities said.  No one was injured in the exchange ,authorities said. Tyron Whitley was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Details Released In Pcti Football Game Shooting, Teen In Custody Details have been released in the shooting following a football game at the Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) Friday night, Aug. 30. A 16-year-old has been arrested in the shooting a 15-year-old and 16-year-old around 7:30 p.m. at PCTI school in Wayne, where the football team had faced Lenape High School, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic County Acting Sheriff Gary F. Giardina said. Police found a 15-year-old juvenile and a 16-year-old juvenile suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.
