Flying Spare Tire Seriously Injures 21-Year-Old Driver On Garden State Parkway: Police A spare tire sent flying on the Garden State Parkway left a 21-year-old motorist seriously injured on Friday, Oct. 18, police said. The Flemington woman was operating a Volkswagen passenger vehicle in the southbound lanes when a spare wheel became dislodged from another vehicle in the northbound lanes around 3:25 p.m. in South Toms River, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
