The fiery collision happened at 5:50 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the area of Route 70 and Airport Road in Lakewood, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Investigators determined that a Cadillac CT5 Blackwing was speeding westbound in the eastbound lanes when it slammed head-on into a Mazda CX5, Billhimer said. Bicyclist, 35, Critically Injured In Lakewood Hit-And-Run: Prosecutors A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Lakewood, authorities said. The 35-year-old bicyclist was struck by a vehicle, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Lakewood police responded to the crash at the intersection of Maplehurst Avenue and Cross Street at around 7:15 p.m. Officers found the victim in the road suffering from serious bodily injuries.  Paramedics rushed the woman to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
