A grand jury indicted 24-year-old Eric Manzanares on Wednesday, Aug. 21, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. An Eatontown man will spend at least four decades in prison after he was convicted of raping two girls over several years, authorities said. Gerell Schmitt, 36, was sentenced on Tuesday, July 9 to 48 years in state prison, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Monday, July 15. A 59-year-old New Jersey resident was sentenced to four years in state prison on Friday, June 14 for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old in 2022, authorities said.
