It was a sensational Sunday for two lottery players in New Jersey. Lottery players from Burlington County and Bergen County, respectively, matched the winning numbers of the Jersey Cash 5 drawing on Sunday, Feb. 16, splitting the $635,194 jackpot. Woman, 26, Killed Pedestrian In South Jersey Hit-And-Run: Police
A Vineland woman was accused of killing a Turnersville man in a Gloucester County hit-and-run crash, authorities said. Destiny Esquilin, 26, was charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal crash, the Washington Township Police Department said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 21. She was wanted in the crash that killed 58-year-old John DeMarco on Monday, Nov. 4. He was going for an FBI agent, but while growing up in Rutherford and meeting his friends' parents and coaches who were police officers, he decided to switch gears. A Lyndhurst High School senior who tried to elude a township police officer on a stolen motorcycle received 21 summonses -- and was charged criminally -- after he finally stopped, authorities said.
