13 Hurt In Crash Involving Bus Carrying Military Personnel On NJ Turnpike: Report
Thirteen people were hurt in a crash on the NJ Turnpike involving a bus carrying military personnel, 6abc reports. The passenger bus had broke down was heading north and was in the right lane and right shoulder when it was struck by a tractor trailer just before 1 p.m. at milepost 25.6 in Runnemede, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. "There were multiple non-life-threatening injuries of occupants on the bus and the driver of the tractor-trailer," Lebron said. Man, 57, Riding E-Bike Dies In Atlantic City Crash: Police
An Atlantic City man was killed when his electric bicycle and a vehicle crashed, authorities said. Officers responded to the crash on the 100 block of North Maryland Avenue at around 12:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release. Police found the 57-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. Firefighters and paramedics tried to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Sundown Swimmers At Unguarded NJ Beach Rescued
Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said. Rescuers were called to a swimmer in distress near the pier at the Main Avenue beach at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the ANSWER team said in a Facebook post. The report was quickly upgraded to three swimmers in distress. When emergency crews arrived, they saw the three swimmers screaming for help. Air Force Firefighter, RWJ Paramedic Who Died Of Leukemia Saved First Life At 10
Robert J Conklin III, a New Jersey first responder and Air Force veteran, died on Monday, Aug. 12. He was 39 years old. Robert's mother, Arlene Savarese, said that he died of leukemia. Savarese said her son saved his first life at just 10 years old, when he performed the Heimlich maneuver on his aunt. "The rest of the path was set for him," Savarese said. Robert went on to serve as a firefighter in the United States Air Force, helping to evacuate Afghanistan in 2021. Person Hospitalized After Shed Catches Fire In South Jersey: Police
A person was hospitalized after a shed caught fire in Ocean County, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to a structure fire on Riverside Drive at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, the department said in a news release.
