These Two New Jersey Counties Flipped From Red To Blue In 2020
As President Joe Biden cruised to victory in New Jersey in the 2020 presidential election, he got some help from two counties that went his way after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016: Morris and Gloucester. Morris County went to Biden, 51.14% to 46.90%, 153,881 votes to 141,134 votes. It was a remarkable turnaround for a county that hadn't voted Democrat at the presidential level since Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964. Community Mourns Loss Of South Jersey Native Killed In I-95 Hit-Run
A community is mourning their loss after a 32-year-old woman died due to a traumatic brain injury following a hit-run crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. Tess Kathryn Fox, most recently of Springfield, Pennsylvania but formerly of West Deptford, New Jersey, died on Saturday, Sept. 14 as a result of the crash on Interstate 95 near Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday, Sept. 7, Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice on Thursday, Sept. 19, and as detailed in obituary published by McGuinness Funeral Homes. A 17-year-old girl has gone missing in Camden County, authorities said. Nicolette Marchetti was reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 17 from her residence in Sicklerville, according to Gloucester Township police. She is described as being 4'-10" tall and weighing 145 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair, and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and carrying a black purse. She may be in the Camden or Woodbury/West Deptford areas, police said. A 35-year-old former Pennsylvania prison guard has been charged with violating an inmate's constitutional rights for several offenses, authorities said. Ivory S. A New Jersey police officer who has been on the force for just under a decade has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that critically injured an 18-year-old bicyclist last month, authorities said.
