Malfunctioning Battery Causes Scooter Fire: Roxbury FD A malfunctioning lithium ion battery led to a scooter fire in Roxbury Township on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said. At 9 p.m., firefighters responded to the 200 block of Center Street in Port Morris on a report of smoke coming from a basement, Roxbury Fire and First Aid Company 2 said.  Upon arrival, an electric scooter was found to be on fire in the basement, firefighters said. Tractor Trailer Hauling Used Clothes Overturns On Route 80: Njsp A tractor trailer hauling used clothes overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on Wednesday, June 19, injuring one person, authorities said. At 3:04 p.m., a tractor trailer lost directional control and overturned on Route 80 east in Roxbury Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, authorities said. No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Suspect Vehicle Pursuit-Crash Seriously Injures Three In Morris County, Prosecutor Says Three people were injured following a police pursuit that began in Roxbury Township on the early morning of Tuesday, June 18, authorities said. At 5:24 a.m., Roxbury police responded to a business on Route 46 for a commercial burglary alarm, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. A pursuit was initiated with a suspect vehicle on Route 10, authorities said.  The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle collided with the median near the intersection of Route 10 and Powder Mill Road in Parsippany, authorities said.
