A 22-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after multiple weapons were found in his position following a traffic stop in Fairfield Monday, Sept. 1, authorities said.
At 8:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 46 East, Fairfield police said. While speaking with the driver, Bojian Zhang, officers observed a machete on the floor of the vehicle, police said.

A North Carolina man stabbed a New Jersey resident, then fled the scene in a red SUV, sparking a police pursuit that stretched through three towns Monday, June 16, authorities said.
Brian Pyke, 65, of Calabash, NC, was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man on Willow Run Lane in Montgomery Township (Somerset County) around 1:32 p.m., according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

Man At Large After Stabbing Outside Linden Bowling Alley: Police
A 25-year-old Newark man was stabbed outside a bowling alley in Linden on Friday, Nov. 8, authorities said.
At 6:10 p.m., officers responded to Linden Lanes at 741 N. Stiles St. and found the victim, Linden police said in a release. The man had been involved in an argument with a co-worker, Easkon Walker, a 44-year-old Elizabeth man, police said. Walker pulled a knife and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the scene, police said.
