NY State Police Sergeant Killed In Motorcycle Crash Crash
A longtime New York State Police sergeant was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, police said. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, near mile marker 36.1 southbound in East Fishkill, according to New York State Police. Investigators said a 2025 Ducati motorcycle was heading south when its rider lost control. The rider, identified as Sergeant Nigel K. A crash between three buses closed the Port Authority Bus Terminal for more than three hours on Wednesday, July 2, upending the morning of commute for thousands of riders. At 6:15 a.m., Port Authority police responded to a crash involving three NJ Transit buses at the bus terminal, the agency said. Fourteen people sustained minor injuries, with 13 people being hospitalized, the Port Authoritiy said. Man Killed In Route 31 Crash After Car Overturns In Ditch: Police
A 56-year-old Columbia resident was killed in a car crash on Route 31 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said. An overturned tractor-trailer shut Route 440 in Bayonne on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 28. Heavy delays were reported following the 1:30 p.m. incident in the southbound lanes at the loop, the OEM said. All southbound traffic was being diverted to 63rd Street.

The first break closed Route 522 eastbound between Stouts Lane and New Road, according to South Brunswick police. It created a 10-foot-wide sinkhole.
