A 32-year-old Jersey City man was sentenced to 26 years in federal prison on Wednesday, April 23 after pleading guilty to committing four robberies and two shootings, all in the same evening, authorities said.
On Nov. 14, 2021, Rodney Williams robbed a store in Jersey City at gunpoint, US Attorney Alina Habba said. Soon after, Williams, accompanied by Siobhan Chandler, demanded money from a gas station, Habba said. When the attendants did not immediately comply, Williams shot one of the attendants in the chest before fleeing the scene, Habba said.

An 18-year-old Iselin man was arrested on Monday, April 7 for his role in a shooting in Linden last month, authorities said.
On Sunday, March 23, just after midnight, officers responded to Aviation Plaza after shots were fired from inside a local restaurant, Linden police said. Multiple suspects fled the scene, police said.
Two men were located near West 15th Street and South Stiles Street and fled from officers, police said. A 17-year-old Newark resident was arrested and two handguns were recovered, police said.
