Bayonne Man Busted In $16K Designer Heist At Paramus Mall: Cops
Two people were arrested after police recovered nearly $17,000 in stolen designer merchandise from stores at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, authorities said.
Paramus police arrested Jason Joshua Molina, 26, of Bayonne, and Tamara Charlot, 32, of Queens, NY, on Friday, March 13, at approximately 7 p.m., according to Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti. Both were charged with possession of stolen property and possession of an anti-shoplifting device.

An organized retail theft group accused of stealing more than $52,000 worth of appliances and tools from Home Depot stores across four Pennsylvania counties has been dismantled, prosecutors announced on Friday, Aug. 22.
Balvin Greene, 32, Terrell Jackson, 39, and Kristopher Heard, 38, all of Philadelphia, were arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including running a corrupt organization, organized retail theft, retail theft, conspiracy, and dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Smile, You're On Body Camera: TJ Maxx To Equip Employees To Fight Shoplifting
To fight the recent rise in shoplifting and retail theft, shoppers could see store security employees wearing body-worn cameras to help catch thieves red-handed.
TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Serria, HomeSense, and HomeGoods, said will begin equipping some employees with body-worn cameras similar to those worn by police, the Boston Globe reported. The company started testing the initiative last year.
The company operates nearly 3,400 stores nationwide.
