A 26-year-old Atlantic City man was arrested and charged following a fatal shooting, authorities announced Friday, May 1.
At 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, officers responded to 2202 Hamilton Ave. and found Jaylou Marlenne Pineda Lopez, 22, with a gunshot wound, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

A New Jersey man was killed in a heavy machinery incident in Pennsylvania has been identified, State Police told Daily Voice on Tuesday, March 31.
Marco Poveda, 36, of Rochelle Park, previously of Hackensack, died after suffering catastrophic injuries while working at a property on the 100 block of Mahanoy Avenue in Rush Township, at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, according to state police.

Shock Spreads After NJ Dad Missing For Months Dies
William Willis, a 28-year-old Maple Shade resident missing since May has died, according to a fundraiser established Monday, Nov. 10.
Circumstances around his death were not immediately clear as of Friday, Nov. 14.
Willis had been reported missing by his family back in May. He was considered "at risk" at the time he went missing, according to missing person alerts issued by the Maple Shade Police Department.

Thomas Mauch, a 34-year-old Berkeley Heights resident who was reported missing last week, has died, according to a fundraiser established Wednesday, Oct. 8.

David Martinez, who served West New York as a police officer for 25 years, died on Saturday, Aug. 16, the police department announced.

Adam "Bull" Bolewicz, a Berkeley Heights native, died on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the age of 52, according to his obituary from the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial Funeral Home website.
