Newark Man Trafficked Guns, Drugs: Feds
A 30-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged on Monday, Dec. 23, with dealing guns and drugs, authorities said.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, police officers recovered from Raishaun Lofton a privately made firearm with no serial number, nine rounds of 9mm ammunition, 81 glassine envelopes containing fentanyl, and plastic jugs commonly used to distribute illegal drugs, US Attorney Philip Sellinger said.

Four Robberies, Two Shootings: Jersey City Man Pleads Guilty To Wild Night
A 32-year-old Jersey City man pleaded guilty in Newark federal court on Monday, Dec. 9 to committing four robberies and two shootings, all in the same evening, authorities said.
On Nov. 14, 2021, Rodney Williams robbed a store in Jersey City at gunpoint, US Attorney Phillip Sellinger said. Soon after, Williams, accompanied by Siobhan Chandler, demanded money from a gas station, Sellinger said. When the attendants did not immediately comply, Williams shot one of the attendants in the chest before fleeing the scene, Sellinger said.

A 26-year-old New Jersey man was arrested and charged after a two-car crash turned into an attempted carjacking on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said.
A car with two men, including Frederick Antonio Castillo, crashed into another car, the New York Daily News reported, citing a source with Port Authority police. Castillo and the other man ran over to the woman's car and tried to open the doors, but she locked them, the Daily News said.
