The Yonkers man, who was not identified, was at the privately owned Long Shot gun range at 375 County Avenue in Secaucus on Friday, Sept. 5 when he shot at approximately 4:25 p.m., Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Gun Fired, 16-Year-Old NJ Football Player Dead — Authorities Investigating What Went Wrong A 16-year-old was killed after a firearm discharged in front of a group of juveniles on Friday, June 6 in Camden, authorities said. At 12:35 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Thorn Street and found Xyere Brooks with a gunshot wound inside of the residence, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.  Brooks was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m., prosecutors said.  Multiple juveniles were determined to have been in the residence at the time of the incident, police said.
