Man Gets Out Of Car, Killed By Tractor-Trailer On NJ Turnpike, State Police Say A Monroe Township man was killed when he got out of his car and was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Michael Veisz, 40, died in the crash on Interstate 95 North in East Brunswick on Friday, Aug. 23, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene near milepost 81.2 at around 5:02 a.m. Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala driven by Veisz was in a single-car crash on the southbound inner side of the turnpike. Man, 45, Found Dead Floating In Central Jersey River Identified: State Police Troopers have identified the Edison man who was found dead in a river in East Brunswick. The body of 45-year-old Reynaldo Salcedo-Tavarez was discovered near where the Raritan and South rivers meet on Thursday, Aug. 8, a state police spokesperson said on Monday, Aug. 19. Marine troopers responded to the report of a person in the water at around 7:42 a.m. Salcedo-Tavarez's body was seen floating and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Salcedo-Tavarez's death remained under investigation and no other information was available.

Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. No further information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.

The crash occurred at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 25 at the intersection of Highway 18 North and South Woodland Avenue, East Brunswick police said.
