Woman Critical After Struck By Vehicle In East Orange: Authorities A 42-year-old Newark woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, Jan. 5 in East Orange, authorities said. The woman was crossing the street on the red light at South Orange Avenue and Hillcrest Terrace when she was hit by a motorist, a spokesperson for the city said. She was transported to a nearby hospital in critical, but stable condition, authorities said.
