Paramus Officer Was Headed To Help Woman In Labor Before ESU Truck Crash, Chief Says
A Paramus Emergency Services police officer was hospitalized Thursday morning, May 15, after a crash that occurred while he was on his way to help a woman giving birth in a vehicle, officials said.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Farview Avenue at Farview Terrace, according to Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti.
The officer had been dispatched to escort the woman, who was reportedly on Route 17, to the hospital, but never made it to the call, Guidetti said.

A 15-year-old from Pennsylvania led police on a high-speed multi-state chase from New Jersey into Rockland County in a stolen car before crashing into a tree on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, police said.

Newark Teens Stole BMW, Audi From Secaucus Driveway: Police
Two Newark teenagers were arrested and charged on Friday, May 9, with stealing vehicles from a home in Secaucus last month, authorities said.
On Wednesday, April 16, a witness alerted officers about a red BMW M3 abandoned in the roadway near Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus police said. The occupants of the vehicle fled and got into a white SUV, police said.
