Unlicensed SUV Driver Killed Man In Wheelchair Crossing Busy South Jersey Road, Police Say A Pleasantville man was accused of driving without a license in a crash that killed another man in a wheelchair, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash near the intersection of Black Horse Pike (Route 40) and Delancy Avenue at around 7:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19. The police department announced the details of the deadly crash in a news release.  Investigators said a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder was turning left from Black Horse Pike onto Delancy Avenue when the SUV struck a man crossing Delancy in a motorized wheelchair. Police ID Bicyclist Killed On Black Horse Pike, Police Say A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Black Horse Pike on Friday, May 17, police said. Arthur Herz, 61, of Mays Landing entered the westbound lanes on a bicycle around 8:20 p.m. when he "made impact with" a 21-year-old man's Jeep Cherokee, Hamilton Township police said. It happened near milepost 45.5. Herz, who was not wearing a helmet was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jeep driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona for further evaluation.
