Woman Killed, Three Injured When SUV Runs Red Light In Central Jersey: Prosecutors A Kendall Park woman was killed when she was in a car that was hit by an SUV that ran a traffic light in South Brunswick, authorities said. Two Pedestrians Fatally Struck By Truck in Elizabeth: Authorities Two pedestrians were struck and killed by a truck in Elizabeth on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 18, authorities said. The two pedestrians were crossing the roadway at Routes 1 and 9 and Maple Avenue, when a tractor trailer that was stopped at the light proceeded forward when the southbound light turned green, a spokeswoman for the city said. The pedestrians were fatally struck, while the driver remain on scene, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.

Giovanni Gaines-Little was sentenced on Monday, July 29 in connection with a crash that occurred on Feb. 25, 2023, in South Brunswick, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. Motorcyclist, 45, Killed In Route 1 Crash: Police A 45-year-old motorcyclist from Essex County was killed in a crash on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said. Alexander Chong of Belleville was killed when he struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at a red light, Edison police said. SUV Knocked Onto Roof In Westwood Pickup Crash Police are investigating a crash at a busy Westwood intersection that knocked an SUV onto its roof. No serious injuries were immediately reported when a Dodge RAM pickup truck t-boned a GMC Yukon at the corner of Broadway and Irvington Street, next to the NJ Transit tracks, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15.
