Newark Sanitation Worker Pointed Handgun At Woman: Police A 42-year-old East Orange resident was arrested and charged with pointing a gun at a woman while working as a sanitation worker in Newark on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 12, authorities said. At 7:16 a.m., police responded to South 14th Street and Springfield Avenue on a report of a man with a gun, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.  Rahman Grimsley was arrested at the scene following an altercation with a female driver, Miranda said. Man Found Dead Inside Vehicle: Newark PD A man was found dead inside a vehicle in Newark on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 21, authorities said. At 4:01 p.m., police responded to Jones Street near Springfield Avenue on a report of an unresponsive male inside a vehicle, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The man was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m., Fragé said. The man has not been publicly identified and foul play is not suspected, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.
