K9 Helps Sniff Out Loaded Gun In I-84 Traffic Stop: NJ Woman Charged, Cops Say Two people, including a New Jersey woman, were arrested after police discovered a loaded handgun during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 in the Hudson Valley, NY, authorities said.   The arrests were made on Friday, May 22, following a traffic stop that began at around 7:45 p.m. in the Orange County town of Newburgh, New York State Police said on Wednesday, May 27.  Troopers stopped a 2016 Dodge traveling westbound on I-84 after seeing multiple vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.  Authorities soon identified the driver as Gary D. Not a Bright Idea: NJ Duo Shined Laser Beam Into Cars On Interstate, Police Say Drivers on I-84 had a scare when a green laser beam was seen flashing into vehicles near Exit 61 in Manchester. A 911 caller told police someone inside a black Toyota Prius was pointing a laser at passing cars on Monday night, April 21 — a dangerous distraction on a busy road. A witness called police around 8:30 p.m. to report the light show and followed the Prius while directing dispatchers and helping troopers track the vehicle as it headed west onto I-91 south.
