On Friday, Oct. 18 at 9:52 p.m., officers in Franklin Township responded to a residence on Second Street and found a broken window, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Francisco Roman Jr said.

The burglars took jewelry, coinage and artwork, authorities said.

The homeowners reported jewelry and coins missing, authorities said.

An investigation led to the identification and arrest of the three burglars: Rodrigo Lopez, a 42-year-old Bridgewater resident, Edison Jimenez-Castro, a 35-year-old Manville resident and Andres Moncaleano, a 30-year-old Elizabeth resident.

The trio was charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools, among other offenses, authorities said.
