A Neptune man was accused of trying to break into several homes and a vehicle in Spring Lake, authorities said. Edward Leo, 57, was facing eight charges in the case, the Spring Lake Police Department said in a news release on Wednesday, Dec. 18. A Monmouth Avenue resident reported an unknown man attempting to break into his home just after midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Manasquan Reservoir, a crucial water source in Monmouth County, has dropped to historically low levels as New Jersey experiences wildfires and drastic drought conditions. The reservoir's water elevation was recorded at 91.27 feet above sea level on the morning of Monday, Nov. 18, according to Marc Brooks, executive director of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority (NJWSA). Pedestrian Struck, Killed By 70-Year-Old Driver In Monmouth County, Prosecutor Says
A pedestrian was struck by a 70-year-old driver on Saturday, May 25 in Monmouth County, authorities said. The woman, 85, was crossing Allaire Road in Spring Lake Heights when she was struck by the 2023 Nissan Rogue attempting a left-hand turn from the southbound side of Old Mille Road onto eastbound Allaire around 1:20 p.m., Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S.
