A Garfield teen was given more than 20 theft charges after he was found carrying stolen mail in Wall Township, authorities said. The 16-year-old boy was arrested near Industrial Road, the Wall Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The arrest came as officers have increased patrols in response to rising criminal activity, particularly mail theft, in parts of Wall. Porch Pirates Busted In Highland Park Package Theft Spree, Police Say
Two suspected porch pirates were caught in the act, following a series of package thefts in Highland Park, authorities said. The New Brunswick men were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Highland Park Police Department said in a news release. Officers saw the unnamed duo stealing packages from homes on North Third Avenue and Highland Avenue. The first suspect, 40, was taken into custody on North Third Avenue. Owner Who Left Cash At Central Jersey Golf Range Wanted, Police Say
Police were looking for whoever left a significant amount of money at a golf range in Holmdel, authorities said. In a Facebook post, Holmdel police said the money was turned into the department on Thursday, Nov. 8. The cash was found on the ground at around 2 p.m. at Swing Loose Golf, an indoor and outdoor range located at Bell Works. Police didn't disclose how much money was found.
