Careless Bus Driver Strikes 13-Year-Old Girl, Father: Police A 13-year-old girl and her father were hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Rahway on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. At 8:23 p.m., the two were crossing the intersection when they were struck by the NJ Transit bus, which was turning from Elizabeth Avenue onto West Scott Avenue, Rahway police said.  The 13-year-old sustained head pain and a severe leg injury, requiring a tourniquet to address the injury.
