Family Plans Lawsuit After NJ Transit Train Operator Killed By Fallen Tree
The family of the New Jersey Transit train operator killed by a fallen tree is planning to sue several organizations for negligence, an attorney said. Jessica Haley of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was identified as the person who died in the crash, according to a news release from the Anapol Weiss law firm on Thursday, Oct. 15. A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. Officials have identified the man struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Monmouth County. Anthony DePalma, 39, of Atlantic Highlands, was struck at the Monmouth Street crossing in Red Bank and involved North Jersey Coast Line train 7240, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson.
