Family Plans Lawsuit After NJ Transit Train Operator Killed By Fallen Tree
The family of the New Jersey Transit train operator killed by a fallen tree is planning to sue several organizations for negligence, an attorney said. Jessica Haley of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was identified as the person who died in the crash, according to a news release from the Anapol Weiss law firm on Thursday, Oct. 15. The single mother of three boys was 41 years old. Haley was operating a River LINE train heading north from Trenton at around 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14. Boy, 12, Dies From Tree Falling In Central Jersey Backyard: Police
A Lawrence Township boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. The 12-year-old died on Monday, Oct. 14, the Lawrence Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the 100 block of Eldridge Avenue at around 12:09 p.m. Police freed the boy from under the tree and began CPR. Lawrence paramedics rushed him to Capital Health System Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Train Operator Dead, 23 Passengers Hurt In NJ Transit Crash With Tree
A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on the River LINE train, which had been heading north from Trenton when it struck a tree south of the Roebling Station in Mansfield Township, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. Friends and loved ones were rallying to support the family of a Palmyra teen killed by a New Jersey Transit train. Matthew Dickinson died on Thursday, Aug. 8, according to the Palmyra School District. He was 15 years old.
