Cadence Dabice is a survivor. The 20-year-old Pompton Plains resident was the only person to escape a two-car crash caused by a wrong-way driver on the Garden State Parkway on Friday, July 5, with her life. Car Rolls Over Man Trying To Prevent GF From Leaving In South Brunswick, Cops Say
A 46-year-old man from South Brunswick was hospitalized after a car rolled over him as he sat in front of it in an attempt to prevent his girlfriend from leaving, police said. The man and his 37-year-old girlfriend were arguing outside of a Harvey Road home around 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, when the man sat in front of the vehicle, according to police. The woman got out of the car to tell him to move but had left the car in drive, police said. That's when the car rolled over the man, leaving him seriously injured. He ws rushed to RWJUH. No charges were filed as of press time.

Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Power Outage For 1,000 In Barnegat, Police Say
Nearly 1,000 people are without power in Barnegat Sunday morning, June 30 due to a car that ran off the road when its driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, police said. The 23-year-old woman crashed a 2019 Honda eastbound on West Bay Avenue, snapping the pole and leaving 1,000 homes in the dark, police said. Atlantic City Electric was on scene making repairs and restoring power to the area. The driver was treated on scene by Quality Medical but refused further medical attention.

Driver Cited, Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns: Montgomery PD
A 55-year-old Philadelphia resident was cited for careless driving after his vehicle overturned in Montgomery on Monday, June 24, authorities said. At 6:39 a.m., first responders were on scene at Spring Hill Road after a 2020 Toyota Highlander overturned, Montgomery police said in a release. The driver was traveling north on Spring Hill Road when he failed to maintain the lane of travel, driving off the roadway, police said. There was a crash and a traffic signal knocked down along Route 35 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26 northbound north of Route 650 (Chain-O-Hills Road) in Woodbridge Township, according to the NJDOT. Woodbridge police said there were no serious injuries.

The crash occurred at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 on Mountain Avenue, according to fatal statistics compiled by the New Jersey State Police. The woman killed in a crash earlier this month in Central Jersey is being remembered for her abounding love and dedication to her family.
