Fugitive Led Officers On Chase, Injuring One, After Jaywalking In Absecon: Police A wanted man from Williamstown was accused of having a gun and running away from police after he was caught jaywalking in Atlantic County, authorities said. Gregory Ganski III, 24, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 4 for weapons charges and his outstanding warrants, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers stopped him at around 1 p.m. after he was seen improperly crossing Route 30. Investigators said Ganski lied to officers in order to avoid receiving a summons. Man Fired Shots In South Jersey 'Motel Corridor', Police Say A Mays Landing man was accused of firing a gun in a South Jersey area with several motels.  Desmon Wilson, 23, was arrested on Friday, June 14, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of fired shots on the Route 30 "motel corridor" just before 10:30 p.m. Police began searching for possible victims in the area. After reviewing surveillance video, Wilson was eventually identified as the suspect and taken into custody. Wilson was charged with several weapons offenses. Investigators said they've found no evidence of any shooting victims. …
