: Man, 55, Killed On Bicycle Near Jersey Shore Intersection Identified
Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died when an SUV struck him in West Long Branch. John Martin of Long Branch was killed in the crash, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said on Tuesday, Dec. 3. He was 55 years old. West Long Branch police responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 36 and Monmouth Road just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30. The mother of New Jersey rock and roll icon Jon Bon Jovi has died, according to an obituary. Carol Bongiovi died at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch on Tuesday, July 9, her obituary said. A cause of death was not given for the 83-year-old who was three days away from her 84th birthday. Bongiovi was remembered as an entrepreneur who operated several businesses and the founder of her son's fan club. A Howell Township man died after going into cardiac arrest right before having a vasectomy, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said Michael Vacchiano went to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch for the procedure on Thursday, June 13.
