Pets Rescued, Red Cross Helps Family After House Fire On Jersey Shore: Firefighters A home caught fire in a Lower Township neighborhood, officials said. Firefighters responded to the two-story house on Redwood Avenue in the Villas section of the township at around 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Villas Fire Company said in a news release. First-arriving crews saw heavy flames coming from the top floor of the home. Firefighters found fire on an outside deck spread into the attic. Four Marina Employees Suffer Smoke Inhalation During Boat Fire In Wildwood, Firefighters Say Four people suffered smoke inhalation after a large boat caught fire at a marina in Wildwood, officials said. The fire started on the boat docked at Schooner Island Marina at around 12:39 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, the City of Wildwood Fire Department said in a Facebook post. When firefighters arrived, they found the roughly 42-foot boat named "Luv-It" engulfed in flames. The fire spread to the dock and a nearby small shed. The boat eventually sank from the weight of the water firefighters sprayed to extinguish the flames and foam was used to put out a fuel fire on the water. …

Wildwood firefighters responded to the house on the 100 block of East Roberts Avenue at around 3:36 on Wednesday, May 22, the department said in a Facebook post. The first crew on the scene saw smoke coming from the back and roof of the two-story home. All humans inside the two-family house were able to get out safely.
