A 58-year-old New Jersey attorney and lobbyist was killed in Nashville, TN on Saturday, Oct. 19 after he was struck by a vehicle, authorities said. Michael O'Connell, of Belmar, was crossing the street with the walk light when he was struck by 2009 Dodge pickup truck attempting to make a left turn, Nashville police said in a release. Two separate crashes were causing delays on New Jersey highways Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17. The NJDOT site shows a vehicle overturned on Route 130 in Hamilton Township (Mercer County) in the northbound lanes around 2 p.m. It happened north of I-195 and closed one right lane. Then, on Route 295, a crash took out two right lanes in the northbound lanes south of Exit 40 in Mount Laurel. Delays between 10 and 20 minutes were reported for each.

A northeast Pennsylvania man was dead and another man was airlifted after a head-on crash on the Jersey Shore, officials said. One person was hospitalized in an early-morning crash in Camden County Wednesday, Sept. 25, firefighters said. The Lawnside Fire Department responded to the crash, along with Magnolia Fire Co. Squad 29, at approximately 5 a.m., the LFD said on Facebook. Photos show that the crash happened along Route 30, outside of the Lawnside Commons on Route 30 and involved a pickup truck and two other vehicles.
